The SanDisk Extreme Pro UHS-II SD card reader has been introduced to make the most of UHS-II standard SD cards and the transfer speeds which are possible to achieve. This reader is equipped with a USB 3.0 (up to 500MB/s) connection for rapid transfer of high resolution RAW photo files and HD video. Being up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 when used with compatible equipment and media, you will notice an immediate improvement in download speed and therefore workflow efficiency.
This reader is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports, UHS-I and non-UHS cards so you will still be able to use old media and equipment when needed (full performance will be attained only when using USB 3.0 and UHS-II connections and cards).
