With this adapter plate you can use Mitchell tripod heads on any of our systems that use either the RigPlate or RigPlate Pro. There are many different varieties of tie-down knobs for Mitchell heads so compatibility with RigPlate or RigPlate Pro will vary depending on the specific head and tie-down method. For example, if the head uses a “castle nut” you would need to use the Mitchell Adapter Plate in conjunction with the RigPlate Pro so the castle nut goes through the plate or, use a standard RigPlate with 3″ or 6″ risers.
