The NEW Laowa Ranger Lite Version
Venus Optics previously launched its acclaimed Ranger Compact Cine Zoom series. This all-rounded lens set now comes with a new Lite version. With the new magnesium alloy housing, the whole lens set is more durable and 10% lighter than the standard version. The Ranger Lite version gives cinematographers the same exceptional image quality with stylish space-grey professional housing.

The Ranger Lite version shared the same optical design as the standard version. The whole Ranger series offers an all-rounded zoom range and a T2.9 large aperture, making them perfect for various productions that require dealing with different lighting situations. No matter it's a commercial, documentary, or even a movie production, Ranger can deliver quality results without heavy setups.

Both versions are parfocal design, guaranteeing precise focus control while zooming. The robust optical design also allows a really close focus to 49cm (1'7") for the 28-75mm lens. The new lite version also comes with the same quick back focus adjustment mechanism as the standard version, saving massive lens preparation time from the cumbersome shimming process. The mighty lens set brings a whole new level of lightweight production experience to the industry.

Crafted with a magnesium alloy rehousing lens body, the Ranger Lite Version 28-75mm lens weighs a mere 1264g/ 2.8lbs, while the 75-180mm lens weighted about 1226g/ 2.7lbs only, around 10% lighter in the set making you enjoy a truly effortless shooting experience.

Full Frame Coverage
The lenses come with a Ø 43.2mm image circle, supporting full-frame and s35 cameras.

Long & Versatile Zoom Range
The 28-75mm focal length performed a 2.7x zoom ratio, and the 75-180mm focal length with a 2.4x zoom ratio. You can now have a variety of choices for your story framing: go wider to reveal a stunning landscape or go further to witness the motion of a specific object. Any frames that is possible to enrich your film can be done with the Ranger.

Constant T2.9 Aperture
Ranger offers a T2.9-T22 aperture range. The lenses maintain a constant T2.9 aperture throughout their zoom range, eliminating the need for exposure compensation when you zoom in. You can work with the lenses in dim light environment effortlessly.

All the desirable details can be captured, and preserved with a decent depth of field. Let your lens become a powerful tool for evoking emotions by capturing the subject’s essence intimately.

You are able to keep the object in focus whenever zooming in or out, even shoot with the intense zoom at ease without focusing off.

The amount of breathing can be well contained for you to have a seamless focus shifting.
