Laowa 65mm T2.9 2X Macro APO is a macro cinema lens with 24.4° angle of view on Super 35 sensors. The 2x magnification that can barely be found in the market, provides a higher flexibility in shooting objects of different sizes. The large T2.9 can create shallower depth of field. Using the APO design, the 3 extra-low dispersion elements managed to correct chromatic aberration which renders high image quality. The smooth focusing ring with around 270° focus ring rotation gives a pleasant shooting experience to cinematographers. A 77mm filter thread is designed to mount screw-in filters easily. Industrial standard of 0.8 mod gear on both aperture and focus rings is also applied. It is compact and easy to carry, weighing only around 550g.
Up to 2x Magnification
The 65mm & 100mm macro lenses can focus infinity to 2x magnification along with a minimum focusing distance of 8cm (17cm) and 7.1cm (24.7cm) respectively. A lot more details of the objects can be captured. The combination of Macro and cinema lensesis rarely to be found in the market.
Apochtomat (APO) Design
The chromatic aberration (CA) at both in-focus and out-of-focus area (Longitudinal CA) is controlled to the minimal. The photos of less CA also avoid time-consuming post production.
Outstanding Image Quality
65mm and 100mm macro cine lens consists of 3 and 2 ELD glasses respectively. Both lenses are able to deliver stunning details and contrast from centre to corner.
Smooth Bokeh
The 65mm and 100mm cine lens are assembled with 9 and 13 aperture blades respectively, creating round and pleasant bokeh.
Internal Focusing
The design of internal focusing avoids collision of the lens and the objects. It also prevents the dust or ashes from falling into the lens.
Professional Cine-style Housing
The lens optimized the design for film and video production. Hugely improve efficiency and achieve a smoother workflow. An industrial standard of 0.8 mod gear is also applied on both apertures and focus rings. The entire enclosure of the lens is made up of metal which improves durability.

Extended Focus Throw
The 65mm and 100mm macro cine lens have a 270 degree and 240 degree focus throw respectively, allowing cinematographers to get more precise focus.
