The new SB-U-PD series battery is the next generation in the popular SB-U series. It is a lithium-ion battery that is compatible with Sony BP-U Mount Cameras, such as PXW-FX9/6, FS7/FS5, and PXW/PMW-series cameras. The new SB-U-PD series improved the accuracy of battery remaining indication on the viewfinder of SONY cameras. The battery features a 14.4V D-Tap output and also USB Type-C PD input/output that can charge the battery using an optional charger. A four-LED gauge indicates the charge state of your battery. The battery's internal circuitry provides over-charge, over-discharge, and high load overcurrent protection.
