Replacement for Sony BP-U100 14.4V 6850mAh 99Wh

The HL-U100 PRO is a high performance 99Wh Li-Ion battery optimised for professional video shooting.

Its high capacity of 6850mAh makes it ideal for extended shooting times in the field or studio.

The HL-U100 battery has two D-Tap terminals plus a USB TYPE A Socket. A 4-level LED indicator also shows the remaining battery capacity.

As this new battery is 99Wh, it is under the maximum 100Wh restrictions so can be taken on a plane.

D-TAP Functions

1. Output – OUT

There are two D-Tap terminals available on the HL-U100 Pro Battery (D-Tap 1 & D-Tap 2) that provide power.

The terminals, which are located conveniently on the back of the battery, power the compatible camcorder and other devices such as a video transmitter, monitor etc.
The D-Tap terminals provide 70W maximum power individually or combined.

2. Input – IN

Both D-Tap terminals can be used to charge the HL-U100 PRO battery with a suitable D-Tap Li-Ion charger such as the Sony BCU1A.

USB Function

The HL-U100 PRO battery has one USB Type A, 5V, 2.3 Amp output power terminal to provide power.

Located conveniently on the back of the battery, you can charge any device (mobile phone, tablet etc.) using the USB terminal whilst powering the camcorder at the same time.

Note that the USB terminal cannot be used to charge the HL- U100 PRO Battery.
