Edelkrone DollyONE v2: Trackless Motion Control

Edelkrone's new DollyONE v2 is a compact, app-controlled, trackless motorised tripod dolly designed to bring automated camera motion to solo creators and small crews without the need for tracks, a second operator, or complex rigging.

The dolly sits under any standard tripod and moves it through programmed paths on flat surfaces, controlled entirely via the edelkrone app. It supports a carrying capacity of 15kg and folds down for transport, fitting into edelkrone's own BackPACK for when you're out and about.

Movement Modes
The DollyONE v2 supports several distinct motion modes. Linear mode moves the dolly back and forth along a straight line, useful for classic slide-style shots and dolly-ins. Arc mode programs the dolly to orbit a central subject in a circular path, with the whole unit rotating as it moves so the camera stays aimed at the subject throughout, no pan head required. Point mode locks the camera onto a fixed coordinate in space regardless of the direction the dolly is travelling, keeping framing consistent across more freeform moves. A new Motion Chain feature allows multiple ground positions to be linked into a continuous path, with individual speed control between each step.

The app also supports a live joystick mode for real-time manual driving, and a loop mode for continuous motion - useful for long interview or podcast sessions where a constantly moving frame is desirable.

The edelkrone Ecosystem
DollyONE v2 is designed to scale depending on the level of control required. Used standalone with a standard tripod head, it delivers smooth linear and arc moves out of the box. Pairing it with a single HeadONE motorised pan head adds Point Tracking, where the camera actively compensates during a move to keep a subject framed. Adding a second HeadONE brings in full pan and tilt control for the most natural camera-operator feel. Stepping up to the HeadPLUS introduces automated focus pulling via the Focus/Zoom Module, keeping both framing and focus locked through complex keyframed motions.

The dolly is also compatible with third-party gimbals: mount your existing gimbal on the tripod instead of an edelkrone head, and the DollyONE handles the path while the gimbal manages subject tracking independently.
